It’s been a beautiful thing to see the Spirit of Unity among our students and their families. Where there is a need, there is a coming together to help meet the need. This month, dads will come together to Help lay landscape timbers on the side pasture which will help prevent the serious loss of soil through erosion at the bottom barn.
We’ve titled this little mini-mission effort, Family Community Service
Project. If you have a special need at your home or farm, please let us know and join us as you can!
Students many time assume their “teacher” knows or should know more than them in certain areas of study. In a position of leadership or authority, teachers may think THEY know it all. As a teacher, I’ve recently come to realize I certainly do NOT know it all. Yes, it was truly an Ah-Hah moment! Not knowing it all is a good thing. It requires us to press into our Creator. Assumptions can lead to “expectations”. When others eventually don’t measure up, we become disappointed. Even and especially in our pursuit of excellence and “achievement”, it’s easy to get puffed up, to assume, we’ve arrived. While accomplishment is a necessary and purposeful in life, our hope should remain in God. My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him. 6He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.…Psalm 62:5 When God is trying to teach us in an area of our lives that requires “shoring up”, He brings reminders in many ways. This week’s devotional on Wednesday spoke on humility. We should all be attaining to learn more about life purpose and meaning. In the process, we are to remember to Whom we belong to and to Him alone be the glory! Let your Savvy be genuinely sweet in the presence of the Lord!
